The Institute of Control and Computation Engineering (ISSI) (up to 1998 known as the Institute of Robotics and Software Engineering) was founded in 1992 by Prof. Józef Korbicz. Since 2019 the Institute has been coordinating the activities of the Discipline Council for Information and Communication Technology of the University of Zielona Góra. Within the structure of the Institute there also operates the editorial office of the International Journal of Applied Matematics and Computer Science (AMCS), founded in 1991 by Prof. Józef Korbicz. The Institute's research and educational acitvities are focused on issues in information technology as well as automatic control and robotics.
