E-Business

According to expert forecasts, the global e-commerce and e-services market will grow by 9% annually. Employers indicate a deepening shortage of highly skilled engineers with unique skills at the intersection of computer science and business, capable of supporting the e-business industry. The program of our e-business studies has been developed in cooperation with leading e-business companies to best prepare specialists with the knowledge, practical skills, and social competencies necessary to run their own business or obtain an attractive job in e-business companies.

Profile of graduates

Graduates of the E-Business programme are able to model and analyze business processes and utilize enterprise-class information systems (ERP, CRM, SCM) supporting logistics, planning, and enterprise management. Additionally, they can design and utilize databases and data warehouses, as well as store, process, and analyze large data sets (Big Data), including spatial data (GIS). An essential aspect of education in this field is learning to design and implement Internet services and applications for e-commerce. We also place great emphasis on developing skills related to acquiring customers through social media marketing, digital media in advertising, and online sales techniques. E-business would not exist without computer networks, so students learn theoretical and practical aspects of teleinformatics and digital security. Moreover, graduates of this programme can practically apply data engineering methods and tools, including statistical and machine learning techniques for business reporting and data mining. They can also utilize mobile and cloud technologies in e-business, and apply Internet technologies in marketing activities. They possess competencies in working and managing a project team. The education process is complemented by acquainting students with the law applicable in the field of e-business and solidifying the knowledge of economics and entrepreneurship.
