The laboratory is strictly oriented towards educational and research activities connected with both operating systems and computer architectures. It is equipped with twelve PCs with Intel Core i7-4790, 3,6GHz, 16 GB RAM; an IBM IBM x3650 M4 server, CPUs: 2 x Intel Xeon E5 2,1 GHz, 48 GB RAM, hard drives: 4 x 300 GB, a SAS/SATA RAID controller; four Apple MacBooks Pro 13,3" and one iMac 21.5"; twelve computer assembling sets and a PC with water cooling.Both the hardware and software equipment allows students to study the principles of common operating and networking systems such as Windows 11 EDU and different distrubutions of Linux, and to learn administration issues and API programming in a comfortable and efficient way. The students learn also about virtual machines (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
