The laboratory is under the patronage of Siemens. It is equipped with 16 workstations, consisting of PLC devices (SIEMENS SIMATIC S7-1200, S7-1500), MI KTP 600 Color operator panels, programming computers and mock-up models. Students learn PLC construction, configure PLC devices and acquire practical programming skills. They use the professional version of the TIA Portal engineering software. The conducted classes are covered by the programme of the Siemens Automation Academy. After completing the course, students have the opportunity to take an exam which allows them to obtain the Academy's certificate, signed jointly by the University of Zielona Góra and Siemens.

Equipment of the laboratory:

  • 16 PC workstations with the TIA Portal software,
  • 16 workstations with various equipment: Siemens LOGO!, Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200, Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500, Siemens KTP 600 Basic Color,
  • Models of actuators and control objects: a 3D robot arm, a production line, an elevator, a crossroad.
